The day after Wrestlemania (about a month ago) Brock Lesnar came back to WWE. Shortly thereafter there was a video interview with Lesnar about his return where he basically sat there and bragged up his accomplishments while menacing bad-ass music played in the background. WWE replayed this video several times in the following weeks [WATCH HOW AWESOME HE IS!]:
Personally, I think this promo is BAD-ASS. As I watched it again and again, I began to wonder if I will EVER have anything to say that would warrant such an awesome presentation with menacing music playing in MY background. Then it hit me:
This video was made to promote an upcoming wrestling match.
I’m in an improv group, and we have a show coming up. A show that deserves to be promoted.
I couldn’t find the actual promo music / noise online, but have always been fond of the Brawl For All tune they used in the late ’90s and later remixed for Ezekiel Jackson. Mr. Lander Yeoman and I went over some ideas, decided what we could directly take from the Brock video and added some new material, and we shot the following promo.
